About the event

The Manchester Chamber Choir welcome in Advent with both early and contemporary settings of Advent-related texts, from William Byrd and Peter Philips to Kenneth Leighton, Sarah Cattley, and Javier Busto. The concert also features two world premières: The Snow by choir member Ian Stephens on a medieval Welsh poem by Dafydd ap Gwilym, and a setting of the fifteenth-century carol text Adam lay ybounden by Principal Conductor Vicente Chavarría.
